Her exceptional leadership abilities and growth potential quickly set her apart, leading to her promotion to Care Coordination Manager for Elmwood Healthcare’s Home Care, Home Health, and Home Infusion Divisions in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

In her current role, Ms. Gowans is responsible for overseeing the coordination of care across multiple divisions, ensuring seamless service delivery and optimal patient outcomes. Her role involves managing care plans, coordinating with healthcare providers, and optimizing operational processes to enhance patient experience and efficiency. Ms. Gowans' strong expertise in care coordination, honed through years of experience in various healthcare settings, has been instrumental in advancing the quality of care within Elmwood Healthcare.

Ms. Gowans is poised to transition into a new role as Practice Manager for Elmwood Healthcare’s Primary Care and Wellness Division, IntegratIV Medicine by Elmwood Healthcare, within the next year. This upcoming role will see her overseeing the administration and operations of the division, bringing her comprehensive experience and innovative approach to further enhance patient care and operational excellence.

Before joining Elmwood Healthcare, Ms. Gowans served as an EMT in Rhode Island, where she played a critical role in community health during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This hands-on experience in emergency medical services underscored her commitment to public health and her ability to perform under pressure.

Ms. Gowans holds an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the New England Institute of Technology. She is nearing completion of her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, reflecting her dedication to advancing her expertise and impact in the healthcare field.
